I don't think they really clean their room after customer left. When I checkin I found blood on the pillow, and I called front desk, they send staff after 3 hours
since I call. You might not find blood in every room, but I promise they just DO NOT clean their room.

Arrived early from long haul flight at 6.00 am and straight to Shinjuku by Express trains. We fully understand the check time is 3.00 but the front desk never
allows us to check-in even 2 minutes earlier even we have booked two rooms staying for 4 nights. This is pathetic and unacceptable. They hotels chain only
cares for the local peoples. Travelers should beware of this kind of attitude. I totally do not recommend this kind of establishment to be patronized by
westerners and will never stay here in the kind of hotels while leaving all those diry jobs to the outsider. Trypical.
Room Tip: Nothing to shout about and please stay away. Thank you.

Unfriendly beyond rude staff discriminate between local japanese and foreigner tourist, the room is basically fit for a dog, a dog box size of room. I don't
understand why other people give this hotel a good review. It was the worst service I ever recieved and I didnt expect this service from a hotel in Japan, by the
way we paid 400 US during our stay at the new year. So it wasn't cheap. I warn you people just look for somewhere else..

Booked for 6 nights stay here, staying the 1st night at the Onsen. Bringing a small child with me, Hotel won't let us leave one of the luggage overnight even
though we were checking in the next day because they won't allow overnight luggages except for check-in date, fine. They won't even let us leave our luggage
for 1-2 hours so we can find food around the area! Struggling with 2 big luggages, travel trolley and a small child. They don't have space for 2 hours??!! SO
INFLEXIBLE! Bad experience even before check-in! Should have gone for a more reputable establishment!

This had to be the smell instead hotel I've ever stayed in. The staff (especially re eption) were rude and unhelpfull and the rooms are filthy. We asked to be
changed to a different room due to a terrible smell of smoke and we were told there were no other rooms available-despite being told by booking.com that there
were several roo.s available. The smell of smoke is overpowering even in the so called non smoking rooms. I would never stay here again.

The rooms are tiny for the paid amount(11SqM to 200$ a night)
They have "free WiFi" that is the slowest WiFi available ( it takes you a minute to transfer data like pictures over the web not to mention ho painful it is to try and
open a video or a remote connection to the office).
Also you cannot open the windows in the room.
Basically you are stuck at an extremely small fish tank (even if you upgrade to a double bedroom room) for a high sum of money ~200$ a night.
I've been to a much better hotel at the price of 100$ a night.

Very bad services, the room is extremely small, it cannot put a luggage even.... And they do not have the room temperature adjustment, in the room, you only can
turn on the warmer, it makes the room very very hot, we cannot sleep at nite .... When we complaint and reflect the option, the staff in hotel, just keep saying
"no,no,no".. And not allow us to write the views on complaint form ( as they said no complaint/ options form for customers...:((((( ) besides the staff in the hotel,
mostly not able to say English ..........I will not suggest anyone to choose this hotel though it is in a good location...

Warning, the pictures look good but the hotel is not good! The room I had was smelly and damp, I eventually changed this after dealing with a very abrupt staff
member. The air conditioning in the second room broke,,,so not a good experience. Also, the hotel in is in the red light district ~ it's safe, but be warned there are
nicer areas in Tokyo. also, the wifi is very hit and miss...find somewhere else to stay!

I've stayed in a lot of places in Japan & they're usually super clean. Unfortunately, the Shinjuku Granbell Hotel falls well below expectation. There was thick dust
underneath the bed along with an old bottle cap. Things were the same on top of the TV and much worse behind the fridge. I spent both nights struggling with
asthma which improved whenever I stepped outside the hotel.
Other than this, the rooms are small but functional with good water pressure. There is a lovely roof top bar and it's close to Shinjuku Station. The area is a little
seedy, but very central.

I find it genuinely hard to write a bad review for this hotel as the staff were lovely, attentive and everything you could ask for......the problems lie elsewhere. There
is not much they can do about the location, amongst the throngs of love hotels, dingy streets in an all-round dodgy locale.
I would avoid this area of Tokyo completely!
The room is the smallest of any hotel room I've stayed in, for the first time I'll post a picture for accuracy. I could easily touch one wall and the other (no simian
references please). It was claustrophobic, poorly appointed and drab.

We booked this hotel based on the location. I have never been in a hotel where the rooms are so small. They do not have closets. I tried to cancel my second
night but it was impossible because of the cancellation policy.
Avoid this hotel unless you travel with no luggage/

The single room was very small even by Japanese standards and, though the staff were polite and helpful, the image of the hotel suffers from the
presence of political literature, namely a couple of books of "revisionist" Japanese history placed in every room (along with, as is usual in Japanese
business hotels, a guide to the adult channels). One has an English translation so you can read all about their take on Japan's colonial past, the attack on
Pearl Harbor, and Japan's "defence" against "Caucasians". In particular, if you are American, Chinese or Korean, I recommend you stay elsewhere.

Big fancy reception, rooms so pokey and small you can't move. Squashed writing this on chair against bed. Hot air blowing when I turn air con on. I ask
reception how to cool it down, The guy at the desk says no, you can't cool it down, we only have hot air blowing. Also overcrowded and lots of noisy
tourists screaming out.
I am paying Y7,000 per night, to be in a hot room and this price does not even include breakfast.
You can get to this APA hotel by walking 15 minutes down the road. Turn right at Keisei station, walk down the road and turn right at the traffic light.
Other wise if you have luggage, you have to lug it down lots of stairs from Keisei Station. Very misleading, the hotel saying it is close to the station.
If you want a good hotel near Narita Airport, the Mercure Narita near Keisei station and Toyoko Inn Narita Kuko is my favorite - huge rooms, free
breakfast and very near airport.

By law, you do not have to give up your passport for photocopying if you are a tourist and further if you are a permanent resident of Japan like myself you do not have to present one, period.
Unfortunately, the racist scum working the night shift at the front desk would not give me my room key unless I presented a passport.
I'm sorry when you travel within the country you live in, you don't carry your passport with you, right?!
Long story short, terrible staff, horribly aging room and building and will NEVER go back!
This place was a last resort to begin with....

My single bed room is very small, dirty, noisy due to road traffic. Furniture is prehistorical, toilet with shower functional. Air condition is full manualy. It smelts bad.

Other ones hairs had been laid on the bathroom. Cigarette smell had been too bad since no vent is equipped with rooms. Thus you should check the room throuly
before you agree the room. And open the window and turn on the air conditioner to clean the air and smell.
The fare was the same as westin during holiday season. But room is too bad to pay.

Pearl Harbor, and Japan's "defence" against "Caucasians". In particular, if you are American, Chinese or Korean, I recommend you stay elsewhere.

Big fancy reception, rooms so pokey and small you can't move. Squashed writing this on chair against bed. Hot air blowing when I turn air con on. I ask
reception how to cool it down, The guy at the desk says no, you can't cool it down, we only have hot air blowing. Also overcrowded and lots of noisy
tourists screaming out.
I am paying Y7,000 per night, to be in a hot room and this price does not even include breakfast.
You can get to this APA hotel by walking 15 minutes down the road. Turn right at Keisei station, walk down the road and turn right at the traffic light.
Other wise if you have luggage, you have to lug it down lots of stairs from Keisei Station. Very misleading, the hotel saying it is close to the station.
If you want a good hotel near Narita Airport, the Mercure Narita near Keisei station and Toyoko Inn Narita Kuko is my favorite - huge rooms, free
breakfast and very near airport.

By law, you do not have to give up your passport for photocopying if you are a tourist and further if you are a permanent resident of Japan like myself you do not have to present one, period.
Unfortunately, the racist scum working the night shift at the front desk would not give me my room key unless I presented a passport.
I'm sorry when you travel within the country you live in, you don't carry your passport with you, right?!
Long story short, terrible staff, horribly aging room and building and will NEVER go back!
This place was a last resort to begin with....

I don't think they really clean their room after customer left. When I checkin I found blood on the pillow, and I called front desk, they send staff after 3 hours
since I call. You might not find blood in every room, but I promise they just DO NOT clean their room.

Arrived early from long haul flight at 6.00 am and straight to Shinjuku by Express trains. We fully understand the check time is 3.00 but the front desk never
allows us to check-in even 2 minutes earlier even we have booked two rooms staying for 4 nights. This is pathetic and unacceptable. They hotels chain only
cares for the local peoples. Travelers should beware of this kind of attitude. I totally do not recommend this kind of establishment to be patronized by
westerners and will never stay here in the kind of hotels while leaving all those diry jobs to the outsider. Trypical.
Room Tip: Nothing to shout about and please stay away. Thank you.

Booked for 6 nights stay here, staying the 1st night at the Onsen. Bringing a small child with me, Hotel won't let us leave one of the luggage overnight even
though we were checking in the next day because they won't allow overnight luggages except for check-in date, fine. They won't even let us leave our luggage
for 1-2 hours so we can find food around the area! Struggling with 2 big luggages, travel trolley and a small child. They don't have space for 2 hours??!! SO
INFLEXIBLE! Bad experience even before check-in! Should have gone for a more reputable establishment!

This had to be the smell instead hotel I've ever stayed in. The staff (especially re eption) were rude and unhelpfull and the rooms are filthy. We asked to be
changed to a different room due to a terrible smell of smoke and we were told there were no other rooms available-despite being told by booking.com that there
were several roo.s available. The smell of smoke is overpowering even in the so called non smoking rooms. I would never stay here again.

The rooms are tiny for the paid amount(11SqM to 200$ a night)
They have "free WiFi" that is the slowest WiFi available ( it takes you a minute to transfer data like pictures over the web not to mention ho painful it is to try and
open a video or a remote connection to the office).
Also you cannot open the windows in the room.
Basically you are stuck at an extremely small fish tank (even if you upgrade to a double bedroom room) for a high sum of money ~200$ a night.
I've been to a much better hotel at the price of 100$ a night.
