As for the issue of "so-called Comfort Women", the South Korean Government isn't in the right at all. In 1993, the South Korean government had unofficially and repeatedly said to the Japanese government that South Korea would never bring up the subject of "Comfort Women" in future, adding that they wouldn't demand any compensation to Japan, if ex-minister Kono would publish an apologizing statement to "Comfort Women". Ex-minister Kono said at that time that although there isn't any evidence of its coercion by the Japan's Army, he would apologize to them, because the Korean government stressed that this was the final request to Japan as for this matter. However they in fact betrayed Japan.
Furthermore, this issue was finally rejected in the American Supreme Court in 2006. This means that neither the Korean government nor "Comfort Women" do have the right to raise such trials in the U.S.
