Adam Conley remains confident that he’ll pitch again this season, but hasn’t been given a timetable on when he might return.
“We’re doing the best we can and the progress has been really good,” Conley said of the injured finger on his throwing hand.
“But right now, there’s no telling. It’s just tough to say.”
Conley has not been throwing in order to give the injury time to heal.
“I would love to start throwing a baseball now, but I don’t know if that’s the right thing,” he said.

But when it didn’t improve when the team was in Pittsburgh, the Marlins decided it was best to place him on the DL.
“His knee kind of lingered longer than we wanted,” Mattingly said.
“He struggled a little bit. So we said let’s bite the bullet because we know we’re going to need him.”
