Japan's top weapons maker has confirmed it was the victim of a cyber
attack reportedly targeting data on missiles, submarines and nuclear
power plants.
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) said viruses were found on more than
80 of its servers and computers last month.
The government said it was not aware of any leak of sensitive information.

The claim is made in a draft paper prepared for the US-China Economic
and Security Review Commission, according to the Bloomberg news agency.
It said the incidents involved the Landsat-7 and Terra AM-1 earth observation
systems which were targeted through a ground station in Norway. The satellites
are used to observe the earth's climate and terrain.
The report highlights the risks that would have been posed had the breaches
involved satellites with "more sensitive functions".
The draft document notes that previous penetrations have involved individuals
linked to the Chinese underground community. The Chinese government has
repeatedly denied its role in computer attacks.

中国鉄道省の資金繰り悪化で建設工事の９０％がストップしている問題で、未払い給与の
支払いを求める作業員の抗議活動が７月以降、２千件以上起きていることが分かった。
中国紙、経済観察報（電子版）が鉄道当局関係者の話として伝えた。
甘粛省蘭州と重慶を結ぶ総延長８２０キロの路線建設現場では、主に甘粛省内で数万人の
作業員が抗議活動を行っている。
この路線は２００８年に７７４億元（約９３００億円）の建設予算で着工、１４年に完成の予定だっ
たが、同紙によると、中国鉄道史上初めて、建設の無期延期が決まった。作業員への給与未
払いは少なくとも３億元（３６億円）とされる。同時に雇用契約の一方的な解除などもあり、農村
からの出稼ぎ労働者（農民工）が大半の作業員は、一部が暴徒化しているもようだ。
この路線以外にも鉄道建設に携わる農民工は全土で約３００万人に上る。給与未払いへの当
局側の対応が遅れれば、大きな社会問題に発展する恐れもある。中国では７月の高速鉄道事
故以来、安全検査の強化や工期の見直しなどで資金不足が顕著になり、各地で路線建設が
止まっている。

１千万元（約１億２千万円）以上の資産を持つ中国の「億万長者」の半数近くが移民を
検討していることが、中国の民間調査機関「胡潤研究院」と中国銀行がまとめた
「２０１１年中国個人資産管理白書」で分かった。中国紙、新京報が３１日、報じた。
また１４％は既に海外で永住権を保有するか、移民手続きを申請中としており、将来、
億万長者のうち移民する者が６割に上る可能性がある。
白書によると、４６％が「移民を考えている」と回答。３分の１は既に海外に資産を保有し
ており、投資先は不動産業などだった。現時点で海外に資産を持っていない回答者も
３０％が３年以内に海外投資を行う計画で、移民や財産流出がさらに加速する可能性が
高い。
