ちょっと余裕無いﾆﾑは読み飛ばしたほうが良いかもしれません
経済的衰退や人口減少などを絡め、「ｲﾙﾎﾞﾝはｱｼﾞｱの強豪の地位すら失う危険がある」とか言っててさすがにｳﾘもﾌｧﾋﾞｮりました
I used to write about asian football back in the day but its been a while since I stopped.Ive been following it however on and off since 2004.
I was able to watch most of the asian cup through one world sports and here are my observations...
Current power ranking in Asia :
1) Australia (rating : 8/10)
Amazing tournament by Luongo. A third division player at that level is rare and he should be in a top league soon.
Overall an impressive team. Definitely the strongest asian team at the moment.
Although they have difficulty playing away sometimes (especially in western asia).
It will be interesting to see how they fare without Tim Cahill but they should be able to make the world cup.
2) South Korea (7.5/10)
Korea was very impressive too. Not necessarily by playing standards but even with all the injuries, they still found a way to scrap through to the final.
It wasnt always pretty, but it worked. If young players like ki, nam, son, and ji dong wan, can continue to develop, Korea can definitely make the second round in Russia.
Defense was the biggest issue which led to the finals defeat. With the talented youngsters I think Korea will be the best team in asia by 2018.
Only Iran can possibly take that place instead if some of the big club interests in their youngsters are true.

Even though their tournament was unfairly cut short, they still played very well. I was very impressed by Azmoun.
I had heard the Arsenal rumors but honestly I didnt believe them. After seeing the talent this young man has, I can definitely see him wearing an Epl jersey very soon.
Ive seen many Iranians on this site putting the blame on Ben Williams, which is true, I personally also think your player, Pooladi is a little at fault.
The two instances of course did not merit a red card, but the second instance was not very smart by him.
Nonetheless, the mix of officiating and bad decisions cost Iran a spot in the final and possibly the cup IMO.
I am not a fan of the Carlos Queiroz's defensive tactics. I beleive this team has a lot of offensive capabilities and if Queiroz breaks out of his shell,
Iran can be the best or second best team in asia by the 2018 world cup (which they should be in).
4) Japan (6/10)
I was really surprised at the expectations put on this team. They have been declining since the summer of 2013 and I knew they would not be winning this tournament.
They still nonetheless played OK and were unlucky to crash out at the quarter finals, though. I dont see them being able to be as good as they were in 2010-2011 and
I also think they are danger of losing their Asian powerhouse status, considering their declining economy and population.

ここ最近の「日本サッカー終わってる感」が半端ない件
はぁ、数年前に戻りたい・・・
長友がインテル移籍、香川がマンU移籍、ロンドン五輪でスペインに勝ったときとか本当に楽しかったなぁ・・・
あの時は「日本はどこまで強くなるんだろう」みたいなワクワク感があったけど
その期待もW杯惨敗ですっかり萎み、今はアジアですら勝てない惨状・・・
そして若手も全然育ってない・・・

From an Aussie perspective, I think it's Big 3(AUS/KOR/IRN) + 1 (Japan).
Australia and Korea were a level above everyone else in this tournament.
Iran was unlucky to be eliminated. I don't buy into this "Japan are still one of the bests in Asia rubbish" when they don't put up the result.
