いくつか可能性があると思うけど
1. 発音が悪かった
2. 表現が一般的じゃなかった
これらの要因で、上手いこと伝わらなかったんじゃない
turn the volume downって婉曲的だし
audible enough for meってのも何が言いたいのか
Could you lower your voice a little bit?くらいが普通じゃない
理由をつけたいなら、I can even hear what's you are talking
shut upってのはいくらなんでも強すぎるかも

you are using "sage" so I assume you know it but
when you use "sage" in your mail address
the thread will not bumped up on the list of threads in the board.
being top on the list indicates that the thread is active and
will be more salient to other participants of the board.
in 5ch culture, that's not always welcomed.
in my understanding a thread will not be eliminated even if it's at the
bottom of the list as long as it's getting new posts with "sage",
so there is almost no reason to use "age".
