5. Age - the ability for the body to regenerate damaged tissue diminishes with age, and some doctors have limits in place regarding the ages of LL patients. For some, an upper-limit of 60 years old is suggested, although people have had successful treatment above this age. The lower age limit is normally 18, but patients of any age can be considered if has been confirmed that they have stopped growing (i.e. that their growth-plates have fused).
