The Zheng drug trafficking organization was hardly clandestine. The Shanghai-based
network sold synthetic narcotics, including deadly fentanyl, on websites posted in 35
languages, from Arabic and English to Icelandic and Uzbek.
The Chinese syndicate bragged that its laboratory could “synthesize nearly any” drug
and that it churned out 16 tons of illicit chemicals a month. The group was so adept
at smuggling, and so brazen in its marketing, that it offered a money-back guarantee
to buyers if its goods were seized by U.S. or other customs agents.
Fentanyl, 50 times more potent than heroin, and related laboratory-crafted drugs have
become the No. 1 cause of opioid-related overdose deaths. And rogue chemical
companies in China ? operating openly and outside the reach of U.S. authorities ?
are the largest single source of the deadly drugs, law enforcement officials say.

“People in labs in China are producing this substance that is killing Americans,” Deputy

meddle in the 2018 midterm elections, according to multiple media reports.
According to The Washington Post, Khusyaynova was charged with conspiracy to
defraud the United States.

Federal prosecutors in Alexandria alleged that she worked on behalf of “Project Lakhta,”

すでに売りが膨らんでいる株式市場で、「追い証」の発生ほど市況を悪化させるものはない。
中国本土の投資家は今、こうしたリスクを最も心配している。中国株式相場は18日急落し、
上海総合指数がほぼ４年ぶりの安値となった。ローンの担保として差し入れられた中国株は
6000億ドル（約67兆4200億円）相当を超え、その割合は同国株市場全体の時価総額約11％
にも達する。
ブルームバーグが決済機関の数値をまとめたところによれば、少なくとも144社の中国企業
が資金調達などを目的に自社株の約半数以上を担保として差し出しており、そのうち60社の

JEDDAH: Saudi Arabia announced on Saturday the death of missing journalist Jamal
Khashoggi, saying a preliminary investigation indicated he lost his life after a fight at
the Saudi consulate in Istanbul.
18 Saudis have been arrested in connection with the incident, the public prosecutor said.
Deputy intelligence chief Ahmed Al-Asiri has been removed from his position at the
General Intelligence Agency and Saud Al-Qahtani from his advisory role at the Royal
Court, decrees ordered.
Khashoggi, a Saudi journalist who lived in the US, disappeared on Oct. 2 after visiting
the the consulate to complete paperwork related to his divorce.
King Salman also ordered the creation of a ministerial committee headed by Saudi
Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to restructure the country’s General Intelligence
Agency.
A team of Saudi investigators were sent to Istanbul and had been working on the
case with Turkish detectives.
Earlier in the week, Saudi Arabia promised a thorough and transparent investigation
into what happened to the journalist in Turkey.

トランプ大統領は19日、アリゾナ州で開かれた国防関連企業の幹部らとの会合に出席し
た際にサウジについてのコメントを発表した。会合でトランプ氏は、自らがサウジと締
結した武器売却を自画自賛し、売却撤回に反対する考えを重ねて示した。
米下院情報特別委員会メンバーのピーター・キング共和党議員は「サウジの『説明』は
大半の疑問に答えていない。疑念が強まった。意味をなさない。信じられない」とツイ
ートした。上院軍事委員会の民主党トップ、ジャック・リード議員は声明で「60歳の男
性との殴り合いで15人もの男とボーンソーを持ち込んだりはしない。それに殴り合いで
