the origin of this tradition, the difference of the burials in stone boxes from the ordinary ones must be sought in the framework of the Yamna Culture (1987).
Similar view is held by V.G. Petrenko, G. Toschev (1990), L.V.Subbotin (1995). V.V. Gening believes that the main difference between them - at great expense of
labor as compared with ordinary graves, due to the burial of men of high social
status - tribal elders, who performed priestly functions.The presence of children's burials in this group points to the inheritance of social status."
